Finding Meaning & Purpose in the Second Half of Life!
Time & Location
Nov 09, 2024, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Delafield, 612 Milwaukee St, Delafield, WI 53018, USA
Event Description
Calling All Elders, Wisdom Seekers, and Interested Brothers,
Our long promised one day retreat is on the books at Well House 1900 on Saturday, November 9th, 9 AM and 4 PM.
During our time together, we will experientially, conceptually, and at times playfully explore various models of "ripening" vs aging. We will also reconsider what constitutes success in the second half of life, explore spirituality from a developmental perspective, practice the art of bestowing blessings, and address the all important issue of "what is the legacy I want to leave after my departure?"
Events will occur in a large community room with breakouts in smaller group settings. All adult men are welcome to attend -- including younger men in the first half of life or middle-aged men -- all of whom have interest in altering their future! No matter your current age or where you are developmentally, is it time to own and then jettison unnecessary baggage from the first half of life? Is it possible to live life more fully, more openly, and more joyfully as we age? What if Death were one of your primary advisors?
There is no fee for this event; however, donations are welcome. Dress casually! For lunch, please bring a dish to pass - enough for four people so that we can all eat lunch together smorgasbord style. There is a full kitchen on site and several refrigerators are available for our use. If you have a preference for a beverage other than water, bring it along.
If you are interested in attending or if more information is needed, please contact John O'Donnell at: johnodonnell132@gmail.com (Note: John will be traveling from September 25 to October 13 so he may be slow in responding to any inquiries during this time!)
